How did you come up with the title of your book?

It means that despite everything, despite all the problems, Mary still lives, is still alive.

What is your writing environment like?

I had originally written a lot by hand, but when I decided to write the book, I sat at the computer in my study

What are some of the best tools available today for writers?

The computer is the best tool, with its ready access to correcting mistakes and saving your work, going back over it etc.

What inspires you to write?

Writing this book I was inspired by realizing how far I had come, and deciding to share that with others. And hopefully helping others as well.

Did you learn anything while writing this book?

Yes, I learned to put a lot of the past behind me, and open up to the wonderful prospects that the future holds, especially with being a grandmother.

What is your favorite quality about yourself?

My honesty and kindness.

Mary is a General Practitioner, a Family Doctor, and became anorexic and depressed at age 12. She writes of the chaos and pain of her life, through her abnormal adolescence and adult years, to the equilibrium of the current day. It is an enlightening and inspiring story of Anorexia Nervosa and Bipolar Affective Disorder or Manic Depression.
